ARLINGTON, Texas (February 21, 2026) — The Monster Energy AMA Supercross Championship kicked off the 250SX East Championship at AT&T Stadium in Arlington on Military Appreciation Night. The Monster Energy Pro Circuit Kawasaki team opened the campaign with a strong outing, led by Seth Hammaker, who captured a heat race win and finished fourth overall. Teammate Drew Adams delivered a consistent performance in the opening round of his first full Supercross season, finishing sixth on the night.

Hammaker began his 2026 Supercross season looking to build on last year’s championship-contending campaign. He started the day third overall in qualifying, showing strong pace from the start. In the heat race, a red-flag restart reset the field, but Hammaker capitalized when the gate dropped again. Launching into the front pack, he quickly moved into the lead and rode a confident, controlled race to secure the heat win.

In the main event, Hammaker got a strong jump off the gate but was immediately caught in traffic, briefly locking bars with multiple riders and narrowly avoiding a first-turn pileup. Despite the chaos, he emerged inside the top five and went to work. Battling throughout the race, Hammaker defended fourth while continuing to pressure the riders ahead. Although he was unable to close the gap late, he crossed the line fourth to open his 250SX East campaign.

“I felt solid all day,” said Hammaker. “Qualifying was pretty good. I was fastest in one of the sessions, so the speed is there. In the heat race, I got a good start, made the pass for the lead early, and rode a strong race to get the win. The main event start was pretty chaotic. I got a good jump, but there was a lot going on in the first turn. I’m not really sure how I stayed up, to be honest. I came out inside the top five, which was good considering everything. I worked forward a bit but never really found a great flow in the main, especially in the whoops, trying to decide whether to skim or jump them. All in all, fourth on the night isn’t bad. It’s a solid way to start the season, and now we look ahead to Daytona.”

Adams entered Arlington ready to kick off his first full Supercross season, building on the experience gained during his rookie year.  He began the day sixth in qualifying before heading into the heat race. Off the start, Adams settled into tenth early and focused on making steady progress. He worked his way through the field with consistent passes, finishing sixth.

In the main, Adams found himself just outside the top ten off the start. Avoiding early chaos, he kept his composure and made consistent, confident passes throughout the race. Riding smart and measured, Adams worked his way forward to finish sixth, marking a solid opening round of the 250SX East season.

“It was a pretty good day all around,” said Adams. “I qualified sixth overall, and my goal was just to improve every time I hit the track. In the heat race, I didn’t get the best start, and when the track is fresh like that, it’s tough to make passes, so I was a little disappointed there. In the main, I lined up on the inside, and there was a pileup, so I was able to avoid it and move forward. I rode around fifth or sixth for most of the race. I’ve got a couple things to work on toward the end of the moto, but sixth on the night is something to build on. I’m looking forward to Daytona.”

With a strong start to the 250SX East Championship, Monster Energy Pro Circuit Kawasaki now turns its attention to Round 2 next weekend in Daytona Beach, Florida.
